Prof. DSc. Maria Jeliazkova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veneta Krasteva will participate in an event that the European Commission organizes annually for a broad discussion of sustainable energy issues, presentation of new policies, best practices and innovative ideas related to the green transition. The event will take place on June 10-12, 2025 and brings together politicians, scientists, experts, representatives of the non-governmental sector and creates a platform for presenting the activities of each actor in the complex process of transition to cleaner energy, for discussing identified problems and opportunities for their solution. The programme includes various thematic areas, such as energy efficiency, decarbonization, access to energy, renewable energy sources, policies, civic participation, etc. Prof. Jeliazkova and Assoc. Prof. Krasteva will have the opportunity to present their work within the project and discuss with a wide range of experts the challenges identified for Bulgaria in regard to the green transition.
